I've been corresponding a bit with Susan McCray, the Casting Director for LHOP. She has been gracious enough to share with me some information about her radio show, Getting to Know You which is on KSAV http://ksav.org/.

She is having a LIVE show where she will take calls from people asking questions about shows she has cast, her friends like Michael Landon, past guests on Getting to Know You, and about her father, award-winning composer Harry Sukman.

Here are the details of the LIVE Show:

When: Tuesday, October 23
Time: 6:30 PM (Pacific) and 9:30 PM (Eastern)

She will also accept emailed questions about past guests on Getting to Know You at susan@ksav.org.

Thank you for posting her mail here. And I hope not only thst she could get "the elusive Matt" to interview, but also she could contact the elusive Jonathan Gilbert...I've not seen him since he left LHOTP and I'm curious about HOW he looks nowadays! :think:

I'm just bumping this up so people can see it. I've been chatting a bit with Susan lately and she said if the response to this live show on October 23rd is good, she will repeat it in the future. So, it would be nice if some of us got a chance to call in or email her questions.

Chatting via email, not on the phone or anything. Maybe corresponding would have been a better term. But I am hoping she will allow me to help her promote her book, Harry's Piano, and if she does then I probably would get to talk to her on the phone.

She's a very sweet lady. I feel honored to have any contact with her at all.

Just a reminder about this show on Tuesday. I would hate for Susan to reach out to the fans and have a dead phone. I have a meeting that night, but I am going to try and call in before I leave.

Tomorrow night's show is still on, even though there are wildfires raging through parts of California. Susan and Kent live in Mailbu, so I am sure they would appreciate your prayers.

The show usually airs for half an hour, but if she has lots of callers then she can run a full hour.

Thanks everyone for making this show such a great success. Susan's show ran a whole hour and most of it was call-ins. I didn't get to hear all of it, but Lennon from PT called in, as did Brian and Melody Part, and I talked to her at the end.

It was a great time and the questions were so varied--about Susan, Susan's father, LHOP, Highway to Heaven, Susan's show...

At the end, they said they would love to do it again. Woo-hoo! Oh, and for Matt fans, Susan is looking to see if there is a way for people to get in touch with him because that was a big question.

Yeah, how to contact Matt has been a huge question for years. There are addresses out there and people have written to them and did not get an answer or their letter back.

I didn't get to call in because I was working late. But I am glad it was a success.

BTW, Susan's show will soon be airing on WWUH 91.3 FM station in Connecticut.

It was so great that Susan still went on the air given the fire circumstances in California. I was lucky enough to talk with her as well and ask about the choice of scripts on little house. It was so exciting and she is just a wonderful person. I've emailed her before and she always responds and makes you feel she cares about what you have to say. I think her radio show is great and I've enjoyed listening to her guests. She has a natural way with people

Was their house lost in the fires? I hope not.

Susan and Kent were able to move back home a few days ago, so all is well.
