has anyone ever read this book? It's the only Jodi Picoult book I've read so far and probably the only one I'll ever read. I didn't really like it too much, either. Kate was always the center of attention, and poor Jesse was ignored. I know Kate's situation, but I would've felt horrible if I was Jesse. I also didn't really like how the book ended. I just felt bad for Anna!

No, I haven't read it. There's a movie in progress, based on the book, by the way. I won't be reading it, because it's one of those "I just can't read that right now". I can't stand to read a book where a child is neglected - physically, or emotionally....... or is abused.... or dying.......I just can't. And if the book doesn't have a happy ending, it's even worse. I don't care if real life doesn't always have a happy ending - my books should. grinsmiley

I did read the book, and it was very sad. I don't think I can stand the movie. Blue

I haven't seen or read it. Its one of those that really pulls at your heart. I would have to have a happier ending if I read it.
I've been through enough loss, so going to actually pay money to see this is just NOT what I could do.

Do any of you remember the movie : Stealing Home with Mark Harmon and Jodie Foster (1988) I made the mistake of going to watch this on the one anniversary of a boyfriends death. NOT a good idea. ALthough....it did talk about how one needs to move on after lose. SO maybe it was helpful somewhere along my healing.
