What was your favorite book or book series when you were young?

| I liked the Raggedy Ann and Andy stories, Nancy Drew, and Cherry Ames books. I wish I could remember the name of this series of books I read that was about the childhoods of famous Americans. I learned a lot from those books. _________________

| When I was little I like Beranstien bear books and Amelia Bedelia. (They were so funny, weren't they Savannah!) When I got older I lked the Little house books and now I'm reading Sammy Keyes series. There were alot of other books I liked too, like The Little Golden Books.
Hey Lori, perhaps your thinking of the Dear America series or the other one from the same company, I forget what their called... _________________ ~*~*I love Abbie and Rascal*~*~ |

Yes, that is what they were called. Those books really got me interested in history. I'm sure I read all that our small town library had. _________________

| I still like those. The rhyme and rhythm of Dr. Seuss is so fun to read to children. And Winnie the Pooh's wit can be enjoyed even as an adult! _________________

| THE FOOT BOOK! Left foot, left foot, left foot, right. . . . Feet in the morning, feet at night..... That was my nephew's favorite book, too - and I'm sure that I still have the entire book memorized. _________________

| And by the time my nephew had heard it three or four times - he had it memorized. (He has an amazing capability for memorization!) So there was no skipping a page here or there to hurry things on toward bedtime! _________________

| I guess it would depend on the age group we're talking about but I did read most of the Little House books as a child. I specifically remember the cozy feeling that Little House In The Big Woods gave me. |
