| June 2, 1946: Carrie Ingalls dies of a sudden illness.  June 5, 1861: Peter Ingalls and Eliza Quiner marry. June 8, 1902: Charles Ingalls passes away in De Smet, SD.  June 14: Flag Day June 15, 1991: Victor French passed away from Lung Cancer. June 17: Father's Day June 20, 1880: Reverend Edward Brown organized the First Congregational Church of De Smet. June 20: Happy Birthday xtremeprairiefan2093! June 21: First Day of Summer If there are any more June happenings, please let me know here or PM me...........

| I know that Carrie was very sickly as a young child. In the picture of the 3 sisters together, Mary is around 15, Laura is around 13 and Carrie would be around 10. Carrie is SO little in that picture, she almost looks like she is 8 years old. I am not sure what she was sick with, but stayed sick most of her growing up life.  |

| June 13th marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of Anne of Green Gables. There are speicail celebrations going on all summer on PEI. Today on the news they showed an original edition of the book. It is very rare and they were wearing gloves to touch it. | Wow. I never knew that Carrie was 10 in that photo. . .I always assumed she was a bit younger there. . . THere are quite a few deaths but it will be the first day of summer! Yay! |
