I'm back.....

Thursday, I helped a friend do some work on the house in Missouri. Many of you know my aunt passed away a year ago, her house is to go to me, and we seem to find something going wrong every time I visit there....leaks with the air conditioner this past summer, leaks in the pipes that go to the water softener, plumbing done completely wrong, shingles blown off the roof, etc., etc., so.......I have been busy going up there to help with repairs.

On Friday, I helped rustle up some cattle to go to market.....Had on rubber boots, because of all the rain, and I'm sure you all know the sound rubber boots make when trying to pull them out of mud....I just knew my feet were going to completely come out of those things, and I would be standing there in my sock feet...mud and cow.......... manure....
We took two trips to the auction yard, 6 the first trip, and 7 the second.

On Saturday, we spent all day at my friend's daughter's volleyball tournament. From 9:00-6:00. A long day, but they came in first place, this was AFTER defeating 2 teams that had gone undefeated ALL day.... That night, we had to haul a round bale of hay out to the cattle, using a chain and pick up truck, because the tractor had broke the day before when we were hauling the trailer with the cattle.......WHAT A MESS!!! The truck turned one way, and the bale went the other.....HAY ALL OVER THE ROAD!!! We ended up pushing the thing over to where the cattle were, and while I picked up what was in the road, my friend, unrolled the bale for the cattle.....they acted like they were starved to death....What a sound they made while attacking that hay.....

Anyway, my trips to Missouri are far from over with, so you may be hearing more and more about my wild and wacky trips....

Teresa, Josh's friend is doing WONDERFUL!!! Our church had a bon fire/singing last night after services; Josh requested since he was in town, and Derek was there, and even though he looked like Frankenstein's Monster, he was actually running......PRAISE GOD!!!

Aw, that's great about Josh's friend. So glad to hear it!

Sounds like quite the eventful weekend you had Rhonda! Yikes, about all those repairs. Just think about what the final result will eventually be though---it'll all come together eventually, and will be worth the hard work. Thumbsup Glad you're home now safe and sound! Wink
