I am headed to San Antonio, Texas tomorrow to see my baby graduate from Basic Military Training. It will be a 10 hour drive........but need to get down there in order to see the Airmen's Run Thursday morning at 8:00am.

This is SO COOL!!! ALL the flights are in formation with their flag runner in front, and as they come running in, they are singing their cadences. As each flight passes, a new cadence is heard, as they are singing their own........

After this, they will have the USAF Coin Ceremony, this is where the Airmen are presented with the USAF coin, which they are required to keep in their possession......so moving......After the coin ceremony is over, the families are then able to go down and find their Airman and hug them. The Airmen are NOT allowed to move until they have been approached first. They can only scope the area with their eyes, no heads moving around or anything, so I hope I can find my Josh fast.......it took FOREVER to find Jake 2 years ago...... After the coin ceremony, he is allowed Base Liberty and we can do whatever we want on base.....

On Saturday, his day pass begins around 9:30am and we can take off and go anywhere in San Antonio with him.......Sunday will begin with going to church services with Josh, then base pass, day pass if he has earned it, and then later, we head back home..........Truly a whirlwind weekend.......But...........
