I have arrived home again and wanted to share a pic of us dressed up in our prairie wear. I had a wonderful time visiting with my friends that I would never have met were it not for the internet and LHOP.
We had 3 presentations to give and each one was a success. It was a lot of fun sharing the story of the Ingalls with school children.

No, I didn't make my dress Savannah. Beth made hers, Lorrie's and mine and our friend made hers and her daughter's.
We had a lot of fun together. We were all bunked together in Beth's computer/library, all sleeping on air matresses. It was cramped but we all made it work. Two of our three nights together we had LHOP marathins. It was really fun to watch with people who love the show as much as I do.
We had 3 presentations, all with 4th graders. I really enjoyed sharing the Ingalls legacy with children. Being from Wisconsin, I think gives them an extra interest in the books. Each class had been reading one of Laura's books before we arrived. One class had studies Laura for a week and built log cabins and learned to square dance. They did a great job dancing for us.
When we weren't doing presentations or watching LHOP we were getting to know each other better. We spent an afternoon at a huge antiques mall, shopping and visiting the cheese house. I didn't try on the cheesehead this time, once is enough.
I had a wonderful time. Hopefully Lorrie can share her thoughts with us here soon.
