| “THE SPRING DANCE”
Laura and Grace Snider are both in low spirits when they are left with no dates for the spring dance. Feeling that Grace is underappreciated by Isaiah Edwards, Caroline uses memories of her courtship with Charles to provide her friend with strategies to make Isaiah jealous. Laura overhears their conversation and applies it to her own experiences--so while Grace devotes her time to "wooing" Doc Baker, Laura poses as Willie Oleson's girlfriend to earn the attention of a boy at school. When their ruthless attempts backfire and the dance draws nearer, Caroline recognizes the foolishness of her advice and encourages the girls to make the move themselves.

| I absolutely loved this epi. I saw it for the first time a couple weeks ago. I found it disturbing though that they picked Willie to pretend to be Laura's bf because they are sibs in real life. Even thought not through blood. I have 2 adopted cousins and they are to much like family for me to think of them that way, lol. | Well, as far as I know the two of them were on good terms with each other - so maybe it was even easier for them to play with each other instead of someone they weren't so close with. _________________ I believe in miracles! |

| True, as a little girl it might have felt a little funny holding another boys hand. I remember in 1st grade we went on a field trip and I had to hold this older boys hand, and I wasn't to happy, lol. Funny how that changes when you get older, lol. Althought I did have a boyfriend in the first grade. Beckie _________________ The only opinion about you that counts is your own.

| I did too. He was named Pablo. But we wouldn't do another thing than play and walk together! Vanesa. _________________

| I can't believe Laura wanted to hold Willie's hand after he had just gone to the outhouse! Good episode though. It showed how easily you can get in over your head when you try to deceive and how it's best in the long run to just be honest. _________________

| Well. No problem is Willie had already washed his hands...But I don't think they have water in the outhouse...LOL.

| I really love this episode...I agreed that Mr. Edwards seemed to take Grace for granted, and, even though her methods of getting him jealous were a little misguided (same for Laura and her sweetie!), they did open Mr. Edwards eyes...
I love the scene where everyone was dancing at the end. I would have loved to have seen Doc dancing more...apparently Kevin Hagen was a professional ballroom dancer (and taught it before he became an actor), and he and Miss Beadle looked so graceful out on the dance floor... |

| I like all the epies when they ends dancing these sweet, sweet Bostons from another era. They have the flavor of those gone days... (Yes. I'm a romantic)

| | I remember this episode! I think this is the one where Isaiah sent himself a blank letter just so he could pretend to read it in front of Grace to try to make her jealous. in reality, Isaiah can't even read! In the end, it was good |

| | I enjoyed this one ...Charles tongue in cheek one liners are very funny......Poor Doc Baker had no idea what was going on ....Caroline explaining the part of the story she had forgotten was also funny ....then when it all works out well we see the dance scene ....there goes Harriet walking off in a huff....while Mr Edwards and Grace gallop around lol |
