It depends on the novel. If it's interesting to me, I love a long novel. (Rob has written an amazing novel that kept me intrigued from start to finish, and it's much longer than 300 pages.) There have been a couple of times, though, when I started one, and by page ten knew that it would be near-torture to finish that thing - and I wondered how they ever got published!
