I give the hamster to my brother and sister-in-law, who don't have a hyper, mouse-catching cat. (I wanted to get a hamster - but my cat would traumatize the poor thing. He'd stare at it through the glass all day long, till the little thing had a paranoia complex - or a stroke.........)
