| Hi everyone.
I finally decided to join this forum. I have been a HUGE fan of Little house since I was about 7 when the show aired for the first time in Denmark. I watched it whenever I could and have been addicted since then.
6 years ago it aired again but on a channel I didnīt have so I had my grandfather tape it for me. I made him tape all the episodes which revolved around Laura and Almanzo and today the tapes are almost worn out. :D
Well a little about myself. My name is Anja. Iīm 19 and live in a town called Horsens in Jutland, Denmark. Iīm also a member of the Dr Quinn forum since May but I will always love Little house more. I have read some of the books by LIW but unfortunately not every one of them.
I just graduated from Gymnasiet which is a school form ala college so now I have a gap year and am currently working at an elderly home for two months.

Rob, to answer your question. Yes Iīm quite fascinated by Russian history. Did a paper about the revolution in 1917 in december last year. Iīm particular interested in the tsar family. Donīt know why but Iīm a little obsessed with the oldest daughter of the last tsar, Olga... therefore the name and I somehow think it sounds cool  |

Wow you have Danish roots! thatīs so cool. That explains why you wrote "goddag" in your first post here. I can see that you are from Michigan. Funny since my maternal grandfatherīscousin and aunt are immigrants from Denmark and live in Michigan. Is it crowded with Danes there? |

| Oh yes, lots of Danes. Many, many Olsens and Hansons, just like on Little House.
One of our early settlers was Rasmus Hanson, who became one of the great lumber barons in the country. Here's a link to his house, which is now a bed & breakfast inn:

I think itīs really interesting that we share history because of the people immigrating to the states back then. Itīs fascinating for me, I think, to know about some my countrymen settling there... |

The person I mentioned, Rasmus Hanson, brought many of his friends and relatives here from Denmark after he was settled and making his fortune. My grandfather was the caretaker of his house - the one in that link I sent you.
It is very interesting that we have a shared heritage from across the ocean. |
