Thanksgiving Special Edition

Hi I am Nancy. I am in Kansas. In fact I am only about approx. 50 miles from the place the real Laura Ingalls lived at one time near Independence, Kansas. I have been an avid lover of Little House On The Prairie shows, movies and I have all the books that she wrote.
I recently have acquired all the episodes of Little House shows, however, from what I am hearing, they never put the 3 Part Episodes of The Thanksgiving Special on DVD's to go out and buy. What I would like to know is if anyone out here may have recorded this? I would be glad to pay for a copy of this. I live in SE Kansas. I am an avid pet lover. I am also a fan of Animal Planet with cats and dogs. I have one dog, Abby and 2 cats that are 17 and 14. I know that has nothing to do with LHOP, just thought I'd let you know how I am. I am 54 years old, married and have lived in Kansas all my life.

Hi Nancy, and welcome! I may have the Thanksgiving special on video. I'm not sure. A friend of mine out in Minnesota had recorded almost the whole series for me on video years ago, before any of the series was on dvd. It'll take me a couple of days to be able to go look for them, because yesterday I slipped on ice yesterday, and sprained my ankle. But as soon as I can, I'll check and see.

I have two cats and a dog, too. Cool

The older cat, Thomas, is around ten. I got him at an animal shelter, so we aren't sure of his age. The younger cat, Opie, is seven months old on Tuesday, and already weighs twelve pounds.

Hi Nancy! Welcome to the wild and wacky fans of Little House! You will never see many dull moments around this prairie. We poke fun at each other til someone gets locked in the outhouse or falls down a well. Then we are usually very supportive and make sure there is paper in the outty or send a candle down the well so things dont seem so dark.
ALot of great friendships have bloomed here. I for one have been so blessed and hope to be just as good a friend to all. Thanks for giving us a yell.... WooHooo

There is a group of us trying to maneuver out busy schedules this summer for a visit to Mansfield, Mo (Laura's home) and then on to Independence,KS. I believe July 23rd? (That might get me locked in the outhouse!) We would love to meet up with you then. I also have a cousin in Independence.!!!! Cool14

Not quite yet. I still can't put my full weight on my foot. (That makes it sound like I weigh a ton! LaughingSmiley2

) But the videos are up on a shelf, so I have to stand on a chair to look through them. And I've been at the hospital with my Dad most of the week. But I haven't forgotten! Thumbsup

I'll check as soon as my ankle will let me safely take a look.
