Clowns can either be scary to people or they can be fun... Some people don't like any kind of clown because I guess they have seen certain movies or had certain experience.

What about you? How do you feel about clowns?

I've never really been all that crazy about clowns. I think it may have started with the Sylvia episode. But I'm not the only one! Several large hospitals did surveys among their pediatric patients, and found that clowns generally scared kids - even the older children! *shrugs* I'm not afraid of them, and never really have been, I'm just not crazy about them.

I remember the first time I saw a clown. I was probably 3 and it was really a painting of the head of a clown. I think it was an 8x10 size. My parents were visiting a family we knew from church and their teen daughter held up this painting that she had done of this clown. I screamed and ran out of her room into my mom's arms..(well, I think I climbed her head!) I was shaking and very frightened. I hid my face and would not look at it at all. I've since gotten over that, but I always think about that when I see a clown.
I think it had to do with how the eyes stood out around all that make-up! affraid
