This is a neat episode, but I don't really like it the way it is. I can't see Laura leaving home to accept an award. And of course, we all know that Rose--not Jenny and Almanzo--was responsible for prodding Laura to write her now famous books.

As untrue as it is to the real-life story of how LIW's books come about, I like the concept; it just needs to be changed a little. From the beginning of the show, Laura was portrayed as being feisty and strong-willed; that gets lost a bit when she grows up but I think we see it return in this episode. I would've liked to have seen Almanzo (or, if we keep the Ingalls in Walnut Grove, one of them), taking the trip with Laura instead of Jenny.

Another one of Season 9 that I liked. I guess it can be changed... Jenny ... I don't really know what the purpose of her being there was... she wasn't very strong in affecting Laura's decision to keep her true writings... a better person to have done that would have been Almanzo

I'd keep it. I liked this episode, even it didn't reflect reality. Of course, it would need to be changed if Jenny is dropped. I won't mention this obvious caveat in the rest of my comments.

One of my favorites, I wish we may keep it. But we must make some changes since Jenny wouldn't be in the big city supporting Laura. Maybe Carrie could be coming from De Smet just to support Laura. Remember that in real life, Laura and Carrie became very close as sisters after Mary went blind. Think
