I am biased, I know, but I never cared for most of the storylines that didn't focus on Laura and Almanzo. Oh, and there's that awful line by John Carter about the house being their little shack or something that always irks me when I hear it.

This one seems like a repeated storyline.... of how hapiness is what truly matters and not money... we had been shown that by the Ingalls several times before and didn't care to see the Carters doing that lol

It's really not the Carters I have an issue with, I think they would have been an okay family if they hadn't moved into the beloved little house on Plum Creek and they didn't try to make them seem so much like the Ingalls family.

Laura and Almanzo--like her parents--needed to have friends their own age, so the Carters worked for that purpose. But I will never get over having Ingalls family clones living there.
