Dean Butler's LD site & blog (new info 11/29/07)

Hello all,

Dean has let us know that he has launched an official website for Peak Moore Enterprises' Legacy Documentaries. Dean founded Peak Moore Enterprises, Inc. in 1981 and as his site says, the Legacy Documentaries brand was created 15 years later to focus on "capturing life's defining moments."

He also lauched a Little House on the Prairie blog. The link can be found under the Little House section of his website. The blog keeps us up to date on what he's working on, which includes a mention of his upcoming trip to Malone, NY (where Almanzo grew up) and a new reality series about National Championship Air Races.

I promised Dean we would spread the word, so go to http://www.legacydocumentaries.com/ to check it all out.

Waw! I loved Dean Butler's blog! I think he is proud of having potrayed Almanzo, since he is going to Malone and is so involved in all "Almanzo's lore" activites it could be.

I think you're right Vanesa. When I asked Dean if he had a favorite role outside of Almanzo, he said that playing Almanzo was the highlight of his career. He seems to have many fond memories of his time on LHOP.

I read that he was very touched by his character in "Little House" and wanted to know more info about him...It's simillar that what hapened to Alison Arngrim who wanted to know how "Nellie" really was.

Not only his review is very well written, but Dean put feelins in it. You are able to feel that he is really involved in the will of have Laura's Legacy living for ever. And what Susan Hume is doing is awesome too. What a nice thing Dean is really interested in the HISTORICAL person he portrayed at the screen. Thumbsup

That looks like a great documentary. I wonder if it was hard for Dean to say Al-MAN-zo instead of Al-MON-zo.

I have a hard time trying to imagine Laura calling him Al-MAN-zo on the show.

If you ever get to go to Rocky Ridge Farm, you will hear the real Laura call him Al-MAN-zo. It was a surprise to me because of the way it was pronounced on the show.

I have the tape where Laura herself calls her husband "Al-MAN-zo", and not "Al-MON-zo". I didn't realize that it sounded "Almonzo" in the TV show, since the Mexicans translaters said his name "Almanzo", as Laura pronounced it... Think
