| The living in a burned out house, pretending to hang out the laundry and serve coffee and all that was kind of goofy, and so was the crow (although the scene where the crow landed on Jonathan Garvey's head was funny). However, Kezia played an important role in "Castoffs" when she made Laura realize that she could remember how she loved Jack but could love Bandit too. As for what happened to Kezia, I believe Laura narrates at the end of "Castoffs" that Kezia stayed in Walnut Grove for the "rest of her days", but I don't think she mentions how long that was. Of course, we see Kezia again in "The Lake Kezia Monster" and at least one other episode where she fills in at the post office. Laura's narration at the end of "Castoffs" also reminds me of another possible writing inconsistency. I seem to recall that after Laura says that Kezia stayed in Walnut Grove for the rest of her days, she adds, "And so did my dog, Bandit." However, we never see Bandit in season 9. I assume that he went to Burr Oak with the rest of the Ingalls. And then, he also went to Winoka, so he definitely didn't stay in Walnut Grove for the rest of his days. Oh well. _________________ |

| I really like Kezia. She was certainly weird, but she also has so much love to give to others. She was very sweet to Laura explaining how Bandit needed to be loved as well than Jack...It put tears in my eyes every time I saw this episode. I don't watch "Castoffs" very much, for it makes me cry hard... As for having trouble understanding what is Kezia saying...That's not my problem, since in my country, she is doubled in Spanish and all her speech is very clear! Vanesa. _________________ |

| I didn't care for her. I thought she was a bit odd. Although, I was never partial to episodes that focused on characters other than the main ones. I did like "Wilder and Wilder" and "The nephews" though. |

| I thought Kezia's story was a good one. Its not always about race that people will shun you. She was thought to be a bit crazy, but she just loved what she had and didn't look at what she didn't. I loved how she outsmarted Mrs. Olson. Anyone that can do that has my vote! lol _________________ It is the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. I agree. People can be very unwilling to give anyone "different" a chance.
But I liked Kezia. Of course....I'm a little odd, myself, so.....
Anyway, if everyone was exactly the same, and nobody was different, there really wouldn't be much sense in getting to know anyone else. They'd be exactly like you - so what's the point? I love it that God made each of us to be unique. |

| I sort of wish Kezia had been in "A Most Precious Gift". It would have been interesting to see her and Madame Maria together. |
