| Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to give you the update about the quilt I made of Michael Landon. I did send it to the Landon Family and received a little plant and card from Cindy. She stated in her letter that they would keep it as a family heirloom or donate it to a charity. She also said that they would let me know what was decided either way. What more could I ask for?
My only problem is now worrying about taking care of this plant. I do not have a green thumb. In fact, I've been known to make any plant wilt at the sight of my presence. It's a thirsty little bugger that's for sure, but it is getting new growth and I hope to see blooms soon. It was such a thoughtful gesture on Cindy's part and I'm going to do my best to keep it healthy.
Again, I thank all who made comments and encouraged me on this project. I also thank the Landonlegacy.com site for inspiring me to start the quilt in the first place. Michael was such a talented man and I just wanted the family to know that I recognized all that he did beyond just the acting on screen. |

| How sweet, to have sent you a plant and card! And I can very much relate to not having a green thumb. I have two black thumbs, as a matter of fact. Plants shiver and quake when my shadow passes them. The quilt was such an amazing undertaking. Thank you for sharing your progress with us, and letting us join in on the fun of seeing it come together! You'll let us know what they decide to do with the quilt, won't you? _________________

| That is awesome, Paula!! What a great job you did on that quilt!!
Depends on what type of plants you have. I know some plants need to be in warm places, such as tropical plants. Some actually can't receive too much light. I'm not an expert, but it seems to be working for me, I check the soil, if it's dry, just add some water till the soil is moist. _________________

| That is so wonderful! I am glad that the quilt is with his family. You did such an amazing job on it!! That was such a thoughtful gesture of Cindy to send you the plant. I too would want to try my best to keep it alive. I don't have the best history with taking care of plants either. _________________

| I'm so pleased you heard back from Cindy. I'm sure she was as much impressed by the work you put into the quilt as we all were. Please keep us posted as to what happens next and once again, well done on a super job. _________________

| Thanks everyone. I'm sure Cindy will live up to her word about letting me know what happens to the quilt. She has already done more than I ever expected.
Thanks for the tips on plant care as well. Still no blooms, but new growth and looking healthy! |

I echo all the above and the plant care. I'm not too good with plants, either, but just keep it watered and it should do well. Just make sure, also, that you keep it indoors (if its an indoor plant). Some are indoor plants & if you put it outside, it can kill it. If it keeps putting on new growth and looks healthy, then it should do well indoors. _________________
