While surfing YouTube for Little House videos, I ran across this rarely seen alternate opening, as provided by JLSweigart. Apparently, production budgets were running tight so they decided to go with a lower cost intro.

Yeah, Carrie cracked me up. She bounced off her head twice, fell on her head again, and after all that still managed to scoot off to the side. I'm not sure what was going on with Jack there. The poor pooch was replaced with what looks like a lasso.
