I mentioned this in the weekly TV schedule thread, but in case you missed it there, I thought I'd post it as a separate thread. TV Land has dropped LHotP from its lineup effective tomorrow and has replaced it with two episodes of I Love Lucy. I poked around on some of the TV Land message boards, and I couldn't find a specific reason why this change was made. About the only thing I could find was that LHotP wasn't keeping enough viewers for the next show (usually the Andy Griffith Show). This is disappointing, as I like to watch the show on TV Land, as they only show one episode a day. It's harder to follow on Hallmark, since they show two episodes in two different sequences each day, and it would be impossible for me to keep up with ten episodes a week. Oh well, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with watching about every other episode. Here's a link to the TV Land message boards -- http://www.tvland.com/boards/. That stinks...I really wish they would get the stupid Andy Griffith show off there. TVLand was way better back in the day..now they got like a million episodes of like 5 different shows it seems. mad

To be honest, it doesn't affect me one way or the other, as I rarely turn on the TV. But it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't get as many viewers at night because LHOP airs on Hallmark so often during the day. The thing I always liked about having LHOP on Hallmark and TVLand was that you could catch episodes from a different seasons during the day, so I could almost be guaranteed of finding an episode from seasons 6 - 9 (my favorites because of Almanzo) on any day...if I ever turned the TV on. LOL!

That's disappointing. I don't get a chance to watch the episodes on Hallmark during the day, so I looked forward to the TV Land ones when I got a chance.

I believe I started watching LH reruns on TVland, but when Hallmark channel arrived I was hooked on that. They do run it alot during the day, so I almost always can find it. I just hope because the DVDS are out they wont stop running it.

here ya go If you don't know, they cancelled the show starting Oct 1, because it isn't retaining viewers for the shows that follow it, which isn't Little House's fault, they need better shows running. It would be smarter to cancel TAGS, it's why Little House fans change the channel, don't blame LHOTP for that!

I gave up on TVLand because they switch the schedule at least once a month. I got used to watching Little House at 8, then they moved it to 5 or 7, can't remember, then to 6. I was also used to catching Sanford and Three's Company at certain times and they started moving them around. It's irritating when you tune into a station at a certain time expecting to see a certain show and something different is on. They change the schedule so much that the TV Guide listings aren't even right sometimes.

I do love "I Love Lucy", and I sometimes watch "The Andy Griffith Show". I know there are a lot fans of each show here.

The only good thing I can see about the situation, is that the LHOTP fans who are also Lucy and Andy fans, at least have something they like that's in the LHOTP spot. There are plenty of other shows that could have replaced it, shows that I really, really don't like, and I'm sure most of you feel the same. So I won't complain too much. At least I have LHOTP on tape, if I get the urge to watch.

I really don't like Law & Order:CI, and for at least two days in the past week, it's been in the time slot for JAG on USA Network. I love JAG! happy1 I know CI fans are thrilled with the airing. So, though I don't like it, I know how thrilling it can be to get more of your fave, even if we JAG lovers have to suffer.

I wish TVLand and Nick@Nite would be more consistent with the scheduling. scratch

Shy I would be one of those awful CI fans. ROTFL Just kidding. I do love CI and am pretty excited about USA picking up the show. I didn't realize it took JAG's time slot though, I used to watch that more often years ago.

You're right, LM, about TVLand's inconsistent scheduling. Sometimes you never know what you'll end up watching! LOL.
