I just discovered them last night on PBS! They are coming here to Pittsburgh and I want to get tickets! The oldest is 39 and the youngest is just 14! The blonde one looks like Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys, lol.

I saw them the other night on PBS. They were doing their pledge drive and had their show playing........The youngest is a cutie, but he was a bit overly dramatic with his singing....made me chuckle a bit........ grinsmiley

What happened to the videos I posted? Maybe Shirley took them off because they were taking up to much space.

Sometimes they automatically reset themselves, especially if the vid has it's embedding disabled by request.

I love that, Beckie! I've never seen them before, but I ran out and got "Celtic Women" on CD after I saw them on PBS. They're great too! I never realized I liked Celtic music that much!:peace:

That Sims one was cute. Wonder how they make them. I discovered Celtic Women on PBS a few years ago. They are great.

The tickets for Celtic Thunder go on sale the 29th at 10am. I will be right at the computer so I can get choice seats! grinsmiley Hopefully I am not working that weekend. It's right up the street from where I work. My cousin works there and I am going to see if he can get me backstage, lol. I dunno if he would be able, but it's worth a try. Oh by the way, if anyone is interested, here is a little but about the guys. Cool http://www.celticthunder.ie/celticman.htm

Also, I added some of them to my myspace. I sent a message to Ryan Kelly, the one I like and he answered me! grinsmiley :woohooo:

Beckie, I watched about a half hour of this at the end last night! WOW!!! It was cool, I was on the phone with my mom who was vacationing in Florida, and I had her listen to a little of it...she loved it too! It's interesting because they all have such different styles, and yet they sound SO good together. I really liked the guy who sang Desperado. They're all great though! Oh, the kid who sang Puppy Love...so great! How old is he? And LOL at the girls crying in the audience! You'd think it was the Beatles up there! :adore: LOL!

So which one is the guy who wrote back to you? How cool is that?! Thumbsup

And LOL, these guys make the American Idol contestants look like chopped liver! Whistle grinsmiley

The young one is Damien McGinty and he just turned 15. He was 14 at the time. Such a little doll. Cool That's cool you and your mom enjoyed it too. batEyes

Hard to believe that voice comes out of such a young kid! I have yet to sit through this whole thing...I hope PBS will be playing it through out the month. I need to check their schedule and see when they're on again.

LOL, Well, I dunno about that. ROTFL They must have left New York, because on Ryan's myspace, he said he is trying to close his suitcase, lol. They were there for the holiday.

I went to see Celtic Thunder last night and I am so in awe!!! Words cannot describe how good I feel after seeing them. It still hasn't sunk in that I got to see them in person!! If they come back next year, I am going to wait until the last minute to buy tickets because all the floor seats went on sale a few days before the concert. Our seats were not to bad, but they were not close enough for me, lol.

At the end of the concert they wear kilts. Well one of the guys (Paul Byrom) lifted it up a little but to reveal his leg, lol!! Then their backs were facing the audience and he shook his butt. It was so funny! They are wonderful performers and their set design and lighting design was amazing! What a thrill. I feel very privlidged to have seen them. They are off to Philly already to perform tonight!

HAHAHA, No but I was pretty schocked, lol! He's a silly thing. I liked when he showed some leg, lol. They also spun around so their kilts went up in the breeze, lol. ROTFL

Beckie, sorry I missed this post about your going to see Celtic Thunder! I'm glad you had a good time; I can see why you were in awe!

I just bought the CD for my parents for Christmas (I got them to watch the PBS special and they fell in love with them), and now I'm dying to open the CD up and play it! I guess I know what's on my Christmas list too! Wink

Aww cool! I'm telling you these guys have an effect on people. Wink

They actually have 2 cd's out and a DVD. I got all three, lol! The 2nd one has more of my favorite songs on it. My #1 fave is a song called "Ride On".

Hmm, I have to think it's the 2nd one I got...it was on the 'main aisle' of Target, which would be the newer releases, I think? So hopefully it has these good songs on it! Thumbsup

Does it have all of them on the front pointing, or the profile of a guy's face? The latter is the 1st cd.

Cool! grinsmiley They don't sing any bad songs, it's just this one has the better of the songs. I do like Remember Me (Recuardame) from the first CD. That guy's voice drives me insane! It's so beautiful!

PBS had "Celtic Woman" on last night, a holiday special. They're really wonderful too! Their version of O Holy Night is amAzing. I think I'll get that CD for my parents for Christmas too. Have you heard them Beckie? (LOL, I must say the dresses they wore on the special were quite awful though! ).

Yeah they have been out for a couple years. They are good, but they don't put on that exciting of a show like the men do. Plus I love watching those hot hunks over a bunch of women any day, lol. ROTFL

LOL Beckie, I'd have to agree with you there! :haha: Their show really has NO comparison, but I like their music. The BIG difference I'd say between the two groups (other than the obvious Wink ) would be that each of the guys has a VERY distinctive voice. With the women, they sound quite similar to each other.
