| Just say what your favorite songs are.
I recently saw the movie "Flicka" I loved it, as you can tell from my Avatar.
I loved the song that comes out in that movie.
"My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw. _________________

Beautiful song, Annika. That and S&G's "America" are two of my favorites.
Then I'm laying out my winter clothes and wishing I was gone... |

| There is a new country song out that gets me choked up, "Alyssa Lies"
ALYSSA LIES
My little girl met a new friend Just the other day. On the playground at school, Between the tires and the swing. But she came home with tear-filled eyes And she said to me, "Daddy, Alyssa lies."
Well, I just brushed it off at first Cuz I didn't know how much My little girl had been hurt O'er the things she had seen. I wasn't ready when I said, "You can tell me."
CHORUS: And she said, "Alyssa lies to the classroom. Alyssa lies every day at school. Alyssa lies to the teacher As she tries to cover every bruise."
My little girl laid her head down That night to go to sleep. As I stepped out the room, I heard her say a prayer so soft and sweet: "God bless my mom and my dad, and my new friend Alyssa. Oh, I know she needs You bad because Alyssa lies To the classroom. Alyssa lies every day at school. Alyssa lies to the teacher As she tries to cover every bruise."
I had the worst night of sleep in years As I tried to think of a way to calm her fears. I new exactly what I had to do, But when we got to school on Monday I heard the news.
My little girl asked me why Everybody looked so sad. The lump in my throat grew bigger With every question that she asked. Until I felt the tears run down my face. And I told her that Alyssa Wouldn't be at school today.
Cuz she doesn't lie in the classroom. She doesn't lie anymore at school. Alyssa lies with Jesus Cuz there's nothing that anyone would do.
Tears filled my eyes When my little girl asked me why Alissa lies
"Oh Daddy, oh Daddy tell me why Alyssa lies." _________________

I agree, Debbie. It falls along the lines of one that Martina McBride did several years ago, "Concrete Angel." _________________

I was thinking the same thing when I read the lyrics. I always get choked up when I see the music video for Concrete Angel.. _________________

| This is for each and every member of the board...
Anyway by Martina McBride
You can spend your whole life building something from nothing One storm can come and blow it all away Build it anyway You can chase a dream that seems so out of reach and you know it might not ever come your way Dream it anyway
Chorus: God is great, but sometimes life ain’t good And when I pray it doesn’t always turn out like I think it should But I do it anyway, I do it anyway
This world’s gone crazy and it’s hard to believe that tomorrow will be better than today Believe it anyway You can love someone with all your heart, for all the right reasons, and in a moment they can choose to walk away Love ‘em anyway
Repeat Chorus
You can pour your soul out singing a song you believe in that tomorrow they’ll forget you ever sang Sing it anyway, sing it anyway
I sing, I dream, I love, anyway _________________

| I love that Martina song! Thanks for posting the video, Carol - I hadn't seen it yet. I saw her debut it on the CMA awards back in...November I think? And I loved it ever since - such a powerful message! I'm in one of Martina's fanclubs and got a free download of the song from iTunes, which is awesome b/c I never buy songs from there usually, LOL. Martina is my fave female singer - her voice is so amazing, and she seems like a really sincere person. "Anyway" was the first song she wrote I believe, with The Warren Brothers.
Misti, I think we have similiar tastes in music! I also love "Alyssa Lies", and those songs by Hinder. They were here late last year and I tried to get tickets to go see them, but they were sold out :( I heard it was an awesome show though. _________________

| I just thought of another! How about "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor in...Rocky IV (not positive of the number, I always get them mixed up!) LOL, I just downloaded it tonight for my iPod while I was at iTunes downloading another song for free. Kinda corny I know, but a catchy song! _________________

Have you heard Hinder's latest, "Do Much Better?" I was hoping they weren't a one hit wonder and it looks like they aren't. I've got "Lips of an Angel" as my ringtone. There is also a country version of the song done by Jack Ingram. I love Hinder's version better, though. _________________

I love "Much Better Than Me" more than any of their other songs - it's so raw and emotional. I have the CD and it's one of my favorites! I agree about "Lips of An Angel"; I like their version better too. I saw Jack Ingram live last summer and he didn't do the song then; I wish he did, it would've been interesting to hear live from him. I like his video, but I like the version of the song by Hinder better too. _________________
