| Hi, Beckie.
It's nice that you like my choices. I love Disco! I'm not ashamed to shout it!! Whoo-hoo!
I have musicians in my family too. There are even a few that are really good singers. There's one cousin in particular who happens to be great, by many opinions. I don't sing very well, but I tried during high school. I was in the all girls choir. I don't guess I was good enough for the boy/girl choir. I think I only made the girls group because they needed one more second soprano to stand in (quietly) for a concert. I played clarinet in band, from middle school through high school, cymbals in high school, and I want to learn to play piano. I've learned on my own, to play bits and pieces of a couple of songs by ear, on my keyboard.
I music, I to dance!
Have a good one! _________________

| I was in the church choir from 6th to 8 th grade, and in the choir in high school. In the church choir we used to perform Christmas carols at our airport and we even recorded an album!! Nobody probably bought it but our families though, lol. I took piano lessons from 8 years old until I was in my first years in college. I had to stop going though because I was so stressed from college.
I love disco and dancing too!!!

| Was this song mentioned before?
"Before He Cheats" by Carrie Underwood
Right now he's probably slow dancing with a bleached-blond tramp, and she's probably getting frisky... right now, he's probably buying her some fruity little drink cause she can't shoot whiskey...
Right now, he's probably up behind her with a pool-stick, showing her how to shoot a combo...
And he don't know...
That I dug my key into the side of his pretty little suped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seat... I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights, slashed a hole in all 4 tires...
And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.
Right now, she's probably up singing some white-trash version of Shania karoke.. Right now, she's probably saying "I'm drunk" and he's a thinking that he's gonna lucky, Right now, he's probably dabbing 3 dollars worth of that bathroom Polo... And he don't know...
That I dug my key into the side of his pretty little suped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seat, I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights, slashed a hole in all 4 tires...
And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.
I might saved a little trouble for the next girl, Cause the next time that he cheats...
Oh, you know it won't be on me!
Ohh... not on me... Cause I dug my key into the side of his pretty little suped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seat... I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights, slashed a hole in all 4 tires...
Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats.
Ohh.. Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats...

If you dance like Elaine... Yah, nuff said. You poor kid! I'm sure it's not that bad!
It's nice to know that someone else on board can sing. Maybe my singing is the equal to Elaine's dancing. _________________

| Some of the new songs out that I really like: "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie: Da Da Da Da The smell of your skin lingers on me now You're probably on your flight back to your home town I need some shelter of my own protection baby To be with myself and center, clarity Peace, Serenity
[CHORUS:] I hope you know, I hope you know That this has nothing to do with you It's personal, myself and I We've got some straightenin' out to do And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket But I've got to get a move on with my life It's time to be a big girl now And big girls don't cry Don't cry Don't cry Don't cry
The path that I'm walking I must go alone I must take the baby steps 'til I'm full grown, full grown Fairytales don't always have a happy ending, do they? And I foresee the dark ahead if I stay
[CHORUS]
Like the little school mate in the school yard We'll play jacks and uno cards I'll be your best friend and you'll be my Valentine Yes you can hold my hand if you want to 'Cause I want to hold yours too We'll be playmates and lovers and share our secret worlds But it's time for me to go home It's getting late, dark outside I need to be with myself and center, clarity Peace, Serenity
[CHORUS]
La Da Da Da Da Da
"Moments" by Emerson Drive: I was coming to the end of a long long walk When a man crawled out of a cardboard box Under the E. Street Bridge Followed me on to it I went out halfway across With that homeless shadow tagging along So I dug for some change Wouldn't need it anyway He took it lookin' just a bit ashamed He said, You know, I haven't always been this way
I've had my moments, days in the sun Moments I was second to none Moments when I knew I did what I thought I couldn't do Like that plane ride coming home from the war That summer my son was born And memories like a coat so warm A cold wind can't get through Lookin' at me now you might not know it But I've had my moments
I stood there tryin' to find my nerve Wondering if a single soul on Earth Would care at all Miss me when I'm gone That old man just kept hanging around Lookin' at me, lookin' down I think he recognized That look in my eyes Standing with him there I felt ashamed I said, You know, I haven't always felt this way
I've had my moments, days in the sun Moments I was second to none Moments when I knew I did what I thought I couldn't do Like the day I walked away from the wine For a woman who became my wife And a love that, when it was right, Could always see me through Lookin' at me now you might not know it But I've had my moments
I know somewhere 'round a trashcan fire tonight That old man tells his story one more time He says
I've had my moments, days in the sun Moments I was second to none Moments when I knew I did what I thought I couldn't do Like that cool night on the E. Street Bridge When a young man almost ended it I was right there, wasn't scared a bit And I helped to pull him through Lookin' at me now you might not know it Oh, lookin' at me now you might not know it But I've had my moments
"Hey There, Delilah" by Plain White T's: hey there delilah whats it like in new york city im a thousand miles away but girl tonight you look so pretty yes you do time square cant shine as bright as you i swear its true
hey there delilah dont you worry about the distance im right there if you get lonely give this song another listen close your eyes listen to my voice its my disguise im by your side
oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me what you do to me
hey there delilah i know times are gettin hard but just believe me girl someday ill pay the bills with this guitar we'll have it good we'll have the life we knew we would my word is good
hey there delilah ive got so much left to say if every simple song i wrote to you would take your breath away id write it all even more in love with me youd fall we'd have it all
oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me
a thousand miles seems pretty far but they've got planes and trains and cars id walk to you if i had no other way our friends would all make fun of us and we'll just laugh along because we know that none of them have felt this way delilah i can promise you that by the time that we get through the world will never ever be the same and youre to blame
hey there delilah you be good and dont you miss me two more years and youll be done with school and ill be makin history like i do you know its all because of you we can do whatever we want to hey there delilah heres to you this ones for you
oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me oh its what you do to me _________________

Yes it does...
You can sing along to it:
Moon River, wider than a mile, I'm crossing you in style some day. Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker, wherever you're going I'm going your way. Two drifters off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to see. We're after the same rainbow's end-- waiting 'round the bend, my huckleberry friend, Moon River and me. _________________

| Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime By Dean Martin.
Everybody loves somebody sometime Everybody falls in love somehow Something in your kiss just told me That sometime is now
Everybody finds somebody someplace There's no telling whre love may appear Something in my heart keeps saying My someplace is here
If I had it in my power I'd arrange for every girl to have your charms Then every minute, every hour Everybody would find what I found in your arms
Everybody loves somebody sometime And though my dreams were overdue Your love made it all worth waiting For someone like you
If I had it in my power I'd arrange for every girl to have your charms Then every minute, every hour Everybody would find what I found in your arms
Everybody loves somebody sometime And though my dreams were overdue Your love made it all worth waiting For someone like you

| I LOVE this song. My Grandparents, God rest their souls, gave me my taste in music!!
Frank Sinatra - All Or Nothing At All.
(A. Altman, J. Lawrence)
[Recorded May 16, 1966, Hollywood]
All or nothin' at all Half a love never appealed to me If your heart, it never could yield to me Then I'd rather, rather have nothin' at all
I said all, nothin' at all If it's love, there ain't no in-between Why begin then cry for somethin' that might have been No I'd rather, rather have nothin' at all
Hey, please don't bring your lips close to my cheek Don't you smile or I'll be lost beyond recall The kiss in your eyes, the touch of your hand makes me weak And my heart, it may grow very dizzy and fall
And if I fell under the spell of your call I would be, be caught in the undertow Well, you see, I've got to say "No, no, no" All or nothin' at all
[instrumental]
And if I fell, fell under the spell of your call Don't you know I would be caught in the undertow? So, you see, I just got to say "No, no" All or nothin' at all
All or nothin' at all _________________ Don't let the turkey's get you down! |

| "I Know" by Barbara George
One of my favorite songs. I also LOVE the video (which is from the 1987 movie Salsa - one I used to watch almost every week to try and learn how to dance :P ) because, NO kidding, this is how some of the parties were that we used to have in L.A. lol The adults would go crazy with dancing Salsa, us kids would dance some... but mostly we would be running around or getting into some sort of trouble... haha! They were sooo much fun.

| One of my favorites... Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush" Paula & Keanu look great in this video
I remember this song was popular when I graduated from Jr. High. After graduation my family and I went to eat (this was around 9PM) and this song was playing on the radio.... and I was on cloud 9 for having graduated Junior High and getting the outfit I wanted.
