Greenfield Village at Christmas time!

A friend of mine and I just went to Greenfield Village in Dearborn Michigan this past weekend. Here's a link about the village:

Here is the parlor of the Sarah Jordan boarding house decked out for Christmas (this was the very first residential home with electricity! You can see the old fashioned light bulbs and wiring on the ceiling!)

Thomas Edison's childhood home, the table tree represents the 1915 era. This was my favorite...I could have stayed in this room all day!

And the stone cottage from Cottswold England...brought over brick by brick and restored here...from the 1600's.

Those are just absolutely beautiful pictures, Amy. I've never had a chance to visit over the holidays and it looks beautiful decorated. Kelsey really wanted to take a family field trip there, that our city offers, to see it all decorated and lit up at night, but we didn't get a chance to go. I know it would be beautiful.

Glad you liked those pics, Pam! I guess the lighted tour is still going on through this coming weekend! You could still make it there! I wish we could have seen it at night---I'll bet it's beautiful too!
