| Hi everyone, I thought it might be interesting to share photos of where we come from. I would love to see pics of a landmark or a pretty scene that is near one of you. Please share them here. I'll start. I live about 45 minutes north of Toronto and so I'd like to share a pretty pic of our skyline. This tower is called the CN Tower and is the tallest free standing building in the world, at least for now.

I'll share more later, maybe of something in my hometown. Please show us scenes of the sights in your "backyard". _________________

| | I've been to the CN Tower. It was when we were in Toronto for the big SARS concert a few years ago. We accidetally stumbled upon the tickets to the concert when we were on ticketmaster.com one night. We couldn't believe how inexpensive they were to see such big names as Rush, AC/DC, and the Rolling Stones. I worked for an airline at the time so we got to fly up there for free. It was our first trip to Toronto and we had a GREAT time. You live in such a wonderful area. We hope to visit again one of these days. |

| St. Patrick's Cathedral is amazing... wow... what detail.
I live about 45 minutes to Sequoia National Park. It is called also the Land of the Giants because there are some huge redwoods. Animals, like bear and deer are loose in the park and I have seen deer and a bear. Last time I visited I saw a bear cub that was eating and was sitting near the top of a small waterfall. He looked so beautiful, so cute!
The park has beautiful scenery during all seasons as you can see from the pics below.

Because there are bears loose, whenever people go camping, most of them bring back a funny bear story, LOL. My cousin has a few

Seeing the stars at night in that place is really breathtaking. Sunsets are breathtaking too... I have a video of one I've been meaning to post.

I don't know who these people are, lol, but this pic gives u an idea how huge those trees are.

| Beckie,
I went to a travel industry school in Pittsburgh back in 1992 - it was a 6-month course and it was located in the Hyatt building that is downtown. Our dorms were a few blocks away. We were there in the summer so we got to enjoy the outdoors and got to experience the 3 Rivers Regatta. I really enjoyed spending that time in Pittsburgh and would love to go back for a visit one of these days.

| Wow, that's wondeful. I am glad you liked our city. People are always so willing to put it down, but yet they have never been here. The Regatta is very fun!

| | Marilynn - I live in AZ now. I've been to many different places. I love traveling and when I was young and single, I liked to move around a lot. My favorite vacation spot in Hawaii - we go there every year. Right before we adopted Nate, we were going to move there. But Nate came along (out of the blue) so it looks like our move to Hawaii will have to wait. |

| I don't have any pics of Saskatoon, but here's a pic of my place 2 days after the Blizzard of 2007 (Jan.10th). Last time it snowed that bad was in 1952!!!!!! Those are supposed to be steps going up to the front door, but we couldn't find them. Plus that's supposed to be a sidewalk infront of my car, but we couldn't find that either. Hehe! (ignore my dirty car!)

Here's a picture of my hometown's library. (I couldn't find a bigger picture) It's made from sandstone that was taken from a local quarry. If you've never seen sandstone, it's a beautiful tan and rose-toned stone. I love that library!
Elaine........do you go through more than one extension cord per winter? LOL - Or do you remember to unplug it every time? _________________

| Haha!! Actually I use 2 extension cords... one plugged into the townhouse, and one I keep in my car to plug in at work, etc. It's sad to see how high our power bills go when we have to plug our cars in!!!!! Carol, where was that orchestra playing?? Wow it's HUGE! |

That's not an actual picture I took but it is a pic from the The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. My boss and I went there on a business trip, but on our time off from 'work', we went sight seeing. The first night we got there, we checked into the hotel and after resting for about 1/2 hour, we went to eat. After we ate, we walked around and went inside this place. We couldn't actually go in when we got there because there was show going on, but then when they took a break, it was our time to go in, lol. We just went in to check out the place and saw how big it was, some people were still practicing, playing music so we got to hear that We headed back outside but they had tv monitors showing you what was going on inside. _________________

| Here is a pic of our Hard Rock Cafe. I was there once right after it opened. They had John Lennon's famous leather jacket!!! I almost crapped myself!!! If you look behind the guitar up on the mountain you can see a round platform. There are several of them on Mount Washington where you can look at the city. A very romantic place to go on a date. People get prom and wedding pictures up there all the time! Ron Howard from Happy Days was here this summer for the All-Star baseball game and he said when he first saw the city, he thought it was beautiful! He, Tom Hanks, and another actor, I forget his name, liked it here so much they stayed a few extra days! It was an honor to have them here and to have them like it so much! Ron Howard and Tom Hanks are two guys I really look up to! :) Not as much as you know who though of course, lol. ;)
