2 prayer requests

The first is for my cousin who this week is being sent back to Iraq after just coming home not to long ago. Please pray that he and his fellow soldiers make is home safely.

Also please pray for a friend of the family. She is going on 88 years old. She fell yesterday and laid there for 15 hours! Her phone was off the hook and my dad went down to check on her and found her like that. We have not been at her place for years. When my dad walked in he was in total shock. The ceiling was coming down in places and her house was filthy. There was broken furniture and clothes laying everywhere and many other things wrong. She lives upstairs of a business and she always goes and sits in their lounge when they are not there, because she said she cannot stand being in her place because it makes her depressed. The strange thing is that when she goes out she dresses really nicely and always looks good. We never though she would be living in those conditions.

As bad as the fall was--and her laying there so long....it just might be a blessing now. She will possibly get the help she needs. SO many older people are living in awful situations, and not eating properly. This is an opportunity for those around her to show their love and support.
I will keep her in my prayers. Thanks for letting us know about her.

What a great way of looking at it---I totally agree Gin. I hope people will come to her aid, I can see where she would be depressed. Blue

Prayers going out for your cousin and friend, Beckie. It's so sad to think of someone living like that, but Gin is right - maybe now that others are aware of her situation, she will get the help she needs. I'll be praying.

My cousin that went to Iraq is going to be returning to the United States soon!!! He is still over seas but out of Iraq. He should be returning to the states in a few weeks. Thank you all for your wonderful prayers.

That's always good news. My friend's son is on his third or fourth tour of Iraq and it definitely causes more than a few tense moments.
