For a friend

I've asked for prayer for him before - for pretty much the same thing. One of the men at my church, who I've known since I was about seven years old, collapsed during service this morning. His name is Gary. He looked so weak, and his skin had turned a sickening shade of gray . . . .

But he refused to go to the hospital. He has heart problems, and has had surgery on his heart......His wife is worried sick. (No wonder!) Several of the men at church were trying to convince him to go to the hospital, but as I was leaving, they weren't having much luck. He was hoping that the spell "would pass". I'd really appreciate prayers for him. And maybe, prayers that he wouldn't be so stubborn, and would go to the hospital!!

Prayers for Gary are being said Savannah. Heart problems and stubborness are not a good combination.......I hope all goes well......

Thank you, both!

Just after church, Gary's wife, Darlene told him that it was scaring her, and asked him to please go to the ER, even though he didn't think it was necessary - just to ease her mind. He really is a sweet man (even though he can be stubborn) and agreed to go, because he didn't want her to worry. So, he went. They did scans and tests, and have no idea why he had this spell. His blood pressure went dangerously low, and they had a time getting it back up again. The ER doctors referred him back to his heart specialist, so hopefully they can get this figured out. It was really scary. He looked so close to death. His skin was very gray, and he was slumped over in the pew. . . . .

I saw him this evening, though, and he looked MUCH better. His skin tone was a nice healthy shade, and he was smiling and laughing......... Thank you for the prayers!!

I'm so glad that Gary agreed to go to the hospital, and that he is doing much better. Hopefully more testing will shed some light on why this happened in the first place. Deep down, I bet he's glad that he went to the hospital too.

I am glad to hear that he did end up going to the ER. I will keep him in my prayers and hope that they find out what is causing those episodes.

Glad Gary gave in and got checked out...it maybe just some meds he is on. I'll not only pray for his condition, but his stubborn streak too. haha

I will pray for your sweet-stubbrn friend, Savannah.

I'm wondering if his wrong thing is the heart or simply low pressure. An old aunt of mine suffered from it, and was always falling down. In those moments her sking was also grey or white-bue-ish, which was very scaring to see. But doctors said it was not a dangerous problem. She died at 93, sleeeping, from "old age".

Glad to hear that he went to the hospital. A lot of people are in denial when something like that happens, especially symptoms of a heart attack.

Praying that he continues to do well.

Thank you. He's doing very well now.

I have to admit, I'm no better than he is when it comes to going to the doctor or the hospital. Unsure
