April (and Caleb) just called, and when the specialist first looked into Caleb's ear, he said that he was pretty sure that the eraser had slid too far down into the inner ear for him to be able to get it out in the office, and they'd most likely have to take him to the hospital - but he'd give it a shot, anyway, just to try and avoid surgery. Thank the Lord he did, because the eraser is now out! What an incredible relief. Caleb told me that he can hear better now. And the issue of talking to the teacher about it has been resolved on its own because they had to pick Caleb up from school to take him to the specialist....Of course the teacher wanted to know why he was leaving early, so they explained what had happened. So that's taken care of, too. Thank you all so much for your prayers and concern. You're precious friends, and I'm blessed to have you in my life.

Wow!! Is that ever a relief!! I'm so glad that the doctor was able to get it out today. Did April say if she told the teacher who put it in Caleb's ear so that she can talk to the boy about it, and maybe address the entire class? Caleb's a little trooper. Hopefully it didn't hurt too much as the doctor removed it. At least it's over, and there wasn't any permanent damage. That had me worried. _________________

I am so happy to hear they got the eraser out!! It's great that the teacher knows what happened too. Things have a way of working themselves out. _________________
