| I've just received word I've to go into hospital this Tuesday to have my Thyroid removed so please keep me in your thoughts and pray that everything goes well. After the surgery I've to have radioactive iodine to make sure there are no cancer cells lingering but I'm not sure how soon after the surgery that will be. I may be home by next weekend so I'll let you all know how I get on.
Thank you all for being there for me. You're a really special group of people.

| Thank you for letting us know, so we can pray with you, Maureen. You'll be in my prayers each day. If I lived closer, I'd stop in at the hospital and bug you visit you.  But since I can't do that, I'll try to find some interesting stories to share with you when you get back. Many prayers going out for you!

| Thanks, everyone. I'm overwhelmed with your kindness. I wish I lived near you all, though maybe it's the hospital that's the lucky one! Think of the fun (chaos?) at visiting time! 
I've a couple of books, puzzles and magazines packed and am just updating my ipod! Need to keep busy so the time flies by!

| You wouldn't want us all nearby and visiting you. You need to rest. I was just in hospital myself recently and I only remember a few visitors, I was too drugged to remember. But those few that did visit got entertained because the drugs made me dopey. I didn't make much sense.
Get lots of rest. We will miss you and be praying for you. Hurry back!

| Hi everyone! Well your prayers worked and I came through my operation without a hitch. Had surgery early last Tuesday morning and was discharged from hospital on Thursday evening. I couldn't believe how quickly I recovered. Someone 'up above' was definitely looking after me!
I have to wait for the pathologist's report now to see if my throid was cancerous. The surgeon said he'd send for me in about 10 days. He did say what he removed looked pretty healthy so fingers crossed I won't need any further treatment. If I do I'll deal with it if and when the time comes.
Just wanted to check in, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and know that each and every one of you will be included in mine.

| I'm doing great, Susie. Thanks for asking. My wound is healing well and I'm in good spirits. Just waiting for the pathology reports now to see if my thyroid was cancerous and if I'll need any tratment. I hope to hear this week and whatever the news, I'll deal with it.
