Ouch!

On Monday I started feeling pain in my left side and gradually over the week the pain has increased amd become almost unbearable. I have been going to work but have been suffering and spending a lot of time in the washroom. Today at the chiropractor he checked me out and admitted that it wasn't a muscle pain and that I should get looked at medically. I called my dr but he wasn't in this afternoon and they advised me to go to either the hospital or a clinic. I opted for the clinic and have just returned. I have an infection but I had to give a sample and they have to test it before they know what kind of infection. The dr pushed on both sides and it hurt everywhere, not just my left side. So, who knows what is going on. I suppose I will find out tomorrow after they do the tests.
I am definately not going to work tomorrow!!! I will tke the laptop to bed and stay there.
Please pray for me. This is not a good feeling at all, it hurts so much.

Oh, Marilyn, I'm so sorry that you're in so much pain right now. Hopefully the doctor will be able to tell you what kind of infection it is and prescribe some medication for you. I hope that he is able to tell you what caused this infection as well. I will be praying for you.

I will be praying for you Marilyn! I bet all will be allright. Sometimes, the most severe pains are not due to really bad illness but to mild ones. Hang up, girl! You'll see that things will be O.K! Thumbsup

I called the clinic where I went and they said that the results won't be in til the beginning of next week. I have been resting and sleeping most of the day. The pain is ok I guess. I got the meds mixed up at lunch time so I am one dose behind already, lol. I thought it went the other way around. Oh well, I'm on them now, for sure.
It is kinda funny at our house right now because my mom is suffering from a similiar injury but hers is a bone problem. She is in a lot of pain too and had to go for an xray this morning. We have both spent the day in bed and my 2 nephews had no one to entertain them today. They have been good and quiet, playing on the computer and cards. Please pray for us both.

Prayers for you and your mom, Marilyn. Being in pain and confined to bed definitely is no fun! Get some rest, at least it's the weekend now so maybe that will allow you some extra rest. Let us know when you get your results! {{hugs}}

I have had a restful weekend. I did get out each day and do something so I wouldn't get cabin fever. But mom hasn't gotten dressed since Thursday evening. She is in worse shape than me. I am feeling better but am still in some pain. I hope to go to work tomorrow but won't know for sure till I get up in the morning. We each get our results early this week, hopefully tomorrow.

I haven't heard back from the clinic yet and I am getting very frustrated. I have tried to call them but no one answers. My mom and I are still having a lot of pain. I went to work today and it was horrible. I can't afford to stay at home til it gets better so I have to go to work and just suffer through.
Mom says that she is going to call our own dr tomorrow and get appts for both of us. It is really strange that we have the same complaints, but hers is on the right and mine is on the left. The medication that I was given hasn't done very much to help me out so a visit to my own dr will be a good thing.

Mom and I went to our family dr today. She has a degenerative back problem which will get better if she keeps moving and keeps herself in shape. She needs to watch her weight, if she loses some, it will be easier on the back.
I saw him next and he pushed and poked and decided that I have a bowel problem. I am on a liquid diet until Monday so no chocolate buddies for me, oh well. I am willing to do anything to get rid of the pain.

I am praying that you will get some answers and help with your problem. That sounds awfully painful.

I will pray for your mom to be able to lose some weight and stay active.

The liquid diet will be worth it, save your chocolate.
