Shocking news

I just received some shocking news last night. I called my mom and she told me that after 50 years of marriage she and my dad are getting divorce. This kind of shocking cause my brothers and I knew they had been having problems for the last couple of years but we figured they would work it out like they had before. But mom said they hadn't been happy together for awhile and they decided it was better to be apart They are having a auction and going to auction off the house and everything and go their seperate ways. This news comes a month after my grandma's death. SO would everyone please pray for my family in our time of crisis. Thank you Blue

I'm sorry you're going through this. It's never easy when parents divorce, no matter how old you are. I'll be praying for all of you.

I'm so very sorry! The first thing that came to my mind was how soon this was for you after your Grandma's death. Not that *any* time would make it easy to deal with - but that's so much to have to deal with at once. You have my prayers.

So sorry to hear this. Cheryl is right...its hard at any age. I was 9 when my parents divorced, and you kind of deal with it over and over. It might be good for you and any siblings to sit down and write to your parents. Just thank them for the happy times they gave you and you might ask any questions you need answered as well.

Oh I am so sorry Cinnlyn. My parents have been married 46...I can't even imagine what it would be like for them to split up now.
