I don't even know how to share this because it's so upsetting, but a cousin on husband's side went into the hospital for surgery. The surgery went well, but Tom has a very bad heart. He had a heart attack a day or so after the surgery and he hadn't regained conciousness. He began having seizures and a CAT scan from today shows no brain activity.

The poor guy is only 58 years old and has kids around my son's age.

I would appreciate any prayers for his wife, Sue and their kids Will and Angela. I can't imagine how things turned out this way. I'm not sure what Sue will decide to do. We've been praying all week, but this was unexpected and has totally shocked all of us.

Thanks for the prayers everyone. They ended up taking Tom off life support last night and he passed away a few hours later. I'm sure it is going to be tough on Sue and the kids, plus Tom had three younger brothers and his mom is still living. Just doesn't seem right when you have to bury one of your children--no matter how old they are.

Thankfully we know he is home with his Creator and we'll see him again one day. I'm not sure how people who think this is the end survive a loss like this.

Thanks everyone. It is a sad time around here. We seek answers and the only real one is that it is part of a Divinely plan that we cannot comprehend as mere humans. All we know is that we loved Tom and we miss him, and worry over his wife and children.

So sorry for this loss Cheryl. With time and alot of love I assure you this too will heal. Gather around his family and love them with all you have.
