My Aunt Jan, the one that lives an hour from LIW's Rocky Ridge Home, fell last night and broke her hip. My daddy called me this morning to tell me that she is in the hospital and will be having surgery today to fix it. She is 84 years old and wasn't a good candidate for back surgery because of her health and age a while back, so I ask for your prayers that she makes it through this surgery ok and that her rehab will be good. She had a total knee replacement a few years ago, and had a terrible experience with the rehab nurses and I know she is dreading this time around. Thanks all, it is good to have friends that you can depend on for things such as this. Unsure

Oh poor Aunt Jan. I will be praying for her Prairie Pal. My grandmother broke her hip in her older years. She lived with us and so I know how difficult it is. I will pray for a speedy recovery.

I will pray for your aunt, Rhonda. I'm sure she'll be all right. My great-granny went to this kind of surgery when she was 86, and underwent it nicely, even if her health was very poor since she was suffering from a Temporal Artheritis. However, she recovered from both troubles.

Thanks for the prayers everyone. Wink

My aunt came through the surgery well and will be in the hospital for another 2-3 days and then to rehab. Please continue to pray for her while she is doing rehab, as I KNOW she is going to be a pill for those rehab nurses just because of what they did to her last time..... haha
