| CHARACTER THREADS
There are mainly two kinds of threads in this section. RPG (Role playing game) threads where you do your role-playing game and there are also Character threads.
Character threads are created for that character to present himself or herself to the community or town. In these threads people can send you messages or ask you questions.
Please capitalize the name of your character when you create a character thread so that it will be easy to tell the RPG threads and character threads apart. Story threads will have the name of a story like “Almanzo’s Prairie adventure”. Character threads will have the name of the character in all caps.
For example, Caroline can create a thread titled: CAROLINE INGALLS
In that thread, anybody can participate. People with or without characters can come in and post messages to Caroline or questions. If you own a character, post your message as your character. For example, if the person owns Laura, she will not post a question for Caroline asking: Caroline, how many daughters do you have? Laura already knows that question. So, if you own a character, stay in character when posting messages or asking questions under the different character threads.
When two people own the same character, please tell them apart by putting in parentheses the age of your character. For example:
LAURA ELIZABETH INGALLS (Little girl)
LAURA ELIZABETH INGALLS (Teenager stage)
LAURA INGALLS WILDER *Well there is not need to clarify what Laura this is as her name changed.
Remember, imagination is the key, so let’s get creative and have fun. |

| Hi gang
It's nice to see the RPG section filling up a little. I noticed that on Character threads it can get a little confusing when posting messages because some characters didn't know certain characters or I noticed a future Laura talking to her past
As I said, anybody can participate in character threads. Even if you are already a character you can type and ask questions being OUT OF CHARACTER. That way, 'Teen' Laura can ask little Laura a question as an anonymous person. When you do that make sure that you put in parantheses the words (OUT OF CHARACTER) so there is no confusion.
***This same rule also applies when someone starts to post their stories. If you just only want to make a comment in the story, type "Out of character" and make your comment.
Any other ideas are welcome :study: |
