Went to bed with frigid cold temps, along with ice and sleet coming down.  Woke up to snow falling, and it will continue till around noon. Weatherman said 80% of Missouri is covered, and if you don't have to be out, stay home!  They don't have to tell me twice....Actually, they don't have to tell me at all!  I don't DO snow/ice/sleet whatsoever!  I am SO glad I got home from my trip to Arkansas before this all hit......Now, for my son, daughter in law and new grandson to get home safely from the hospital.  I hope they don't risk it, if it is as bad down there as up here..... Yikes

Have you had a lot of snow this winter, Krissy? We haven't had nearly as much as last winter.

I am so THANKFUL we haven't had the winter we did last year, but right now, I have a layer of ice, 6 inches of snow fell on top of that, another layer of ice came down on that, and we have had enough sun to melt some, and then refreeze when night falls.  I have an ice skating rink instead of a driveway. It is awful.  Then, someone came by with a plow (City or individual) and pushed the snow out of the street and made snow banks at the end of the driveway.....I'll just hunker down until it melts...  Yikes

Smile That is a good one! Reminds me of a similar picture I saw last year...
I would post it but the forum says I have to be a member for 7 days before I can. Oh Well

Smile Why was he removing snow from his roof with what looks like the door to his house open? Now he got a lot of snow inside!

And yes, at least not as much snow as last year... but we got a lot at one time and it has been so cold that none of it melted for a while. But I heard highs of the 30s and 40s next week! greenS

And yes, looking at the forecast, after today solid highs in the 40s for a week! Next Wednesday is a high of 49!
