Stick to your old dentist, Lily...and try your friend to understand. I know it will not be easy, but still...

Vanesa.

I am staying with my old dentist.

This evening we cleaned and polished the cavity we left in our friendship. She apologized to me for drilling me and left me with pain. I left her new office with a big bright smile.

I would just explain that your children are used to their current dentist and being that dentistry is a stressful thing for people (especially children!) it would probably be upsetting for them to switch now.

I would tell your friend that you will refer her to anyone looking for a dentist though and that if you lose yours for any reason...you'll be the first in line!

Yes I have told my friend that too. My girls were terrified with the dentists when they were much younger, it took a few visits for them to finally got used to and be comfortable with our dentist, and now they love her to death. My friend totally understood, she said she came on a bit strong on me because she was just too excited and that she would never jeopardize our friendship over business. And like I mentioned before, I left her office with a bigger smile on my face than my own dentist's office...LOL!!! grinsmiley

Thank you so much everyone for your inputs. :thankyou:

I'm glad that she was understanding about it, Lily. That sure makes things easier.
