Who here enjoys bowling? It is a sport I have just started taking up & enjoy very much.

I enjoy bowling, but I rarely ever go. My niece had a bowling birthday party a while back, and we all had a lot of fun with that. yes

I used to bowl.  Fun sport!  I haven't done it in a long time, though.

I like bowling, but I haven't played in a while. The alley closest to me, where I used to go several times a year, closed down without much notice, so I'm not sure where I would go now. But I do enjoy it.

It really is fun. My Mom & I have been going frequently lately. If I get good enough, it would be kind of neat to get into tournaments or something. Smile

I like it, but there aren't a lot of candlepin alleys around here. I'm too feeble for ten pin.

It's been a challenge for me, but I feel great even being sore & all. I read somewhere that 3 games of bowling can be equivalent to a work out at the gym.

I *like* bowling, but I'm kind of terrible at it.Yikes  My hubby & I used to be on a league with some friends, and let's just say my team loved my handicap. HeeHee  If you enjoy it that much, Julia, you should get on a league!  We got a little tired of it...the leagues go on for months and months, but they really are fun. Thumbsup

Well, before or *if* I get on a league, I need to get better at it first. HeeHee I have never really been in any sports that is like a competition. I was always too small & such to play the usual basketball, soccer, etc. growing up, plus, being homeschooled I really did not know where to go to be actually on a team. So, I've always gone towards the unique sports such as bowling, shooting, & archery.

Homeschooling does make it difficult to be in team sports sometimes. But being petite is actually advantageous in soccer. (Unless you're the goalie. HeeHee ) Because there's so much running involved, it's rather like distance-running, where shorter people also often have the advantage. There are quite a few sports where being petite gives you the edge. Anyway - have fun bowling!

Yes, it's been awhile Rob since you graced the bowling lanes of Michigan. They have machines now that actually reset the pins!

Dave also used to be an avid bowler.  Here he is in action back in the 1970s.

That is true, and Rob and I bowled together. Problem was, he was always losing his balls! Thank goodness I was there to keep track of them!
