I don't know if all of the Walmart stores have the same price on them, but my local Walmart had The Waltons for $20 per season.....and Big Valley for $20, too. I used to love Big Valley! I bought it last night, and I'm hoping that it's as good as I remember it being. lol.........Sometimes time has a way of putting a rosy glow on memories.

Anyway.......I thought I'd let you know just in case any of you would like to get them. Cool

I like the Waltons, too! I usually catch one of their episodes while I'm getting ready in the morning.

Got one better than $20! I was at Sam's club yesterday and bought the first two seasons of the Waltons for $8.88 per season! I did a double take, then quickly loaded them up.
They are stocking for the holidays so if you have a Sam's membership, that is the place to get them.

LH is still $25 per season at Sam's. Barnes and Noble booksellers has a promotion in the month of June where you can get all tv series for 50% off . I did this and got my LH dvds for $17.64 per season. It pays to shop around!!!

I don't know....for me he is sort of a turn off. He seems to touchy. I go for the Jason type. I also like Jim-Bob. My Dad does too because he likes air planes and my Dad was in the Air Force. Now how can one not like Grandpa either! grinsmiley

Jacob, I watched all of the Waltons from last November til April. I was totally hooked too.
I did not like the fact that Oliva leaves for awhile. There was too much that I thought a mother should be there for.
I'm with you about Elizabeth.....love her, but she was able to grow with the show in a good way. She becomes a very strong independent young lady.
My own boys are a mixed of Jason and Jim Bob. My oldest loves music and my youngest loves anything with a motor. Get the movies too if you haven't....I'm glad they made them.
It will be a bit sad when you finish watching them.....but you can always start over...lol.

You know, I never cared for the Waltons as a kid, but now that I'm older, I kind of feel like giving it another try. I just think that my perspective might be different.....it's not really 'my era' of choice (I much prefer pioneer shows, Victorian era, or Edwardian era), but perhaps I can open my mind up to it. I remember, of all the characters, I liked the two old ladies the most. HeeHee

I never watched the Waltons when it originally aired but now have been watching it on dvd. I'm on season 6 and have been trying to find season 7. I've seen 8 and 9 i the stores and I have the final movies. Have to find season 7 so I can continue watching. Our local Christian tv station was airing the shows before I left home and they were in season 7 so I watched a few of them from the tv.

I like Elizabeth when she got older as well, but she was cute when she was little too. LIWNut, we found all the seasons at Best Buy and the last season at Wal-Mart. B.B practically has everything!
