There was this 17 year old girl that was killed in a car accident around here. Her family and friends put up a cross and pictures of her and this state trooper went over to it and ripped it all out of the ground and threw it into the trash! What a scum bag! Naturally her family and friends are devistated. Every time I see it on tv or something about it, I get teary eyed.bawling

What a heartless, insensitive thing to do! We have a very dangerous intersection out in the country, about three miles from my home. A mother and daughter were killed there three YEARS ago, and their crosses and silk flowers are still there. That officer should be ashamed. Even if he had been *ordered* to take the things down, there would be no excuse for his method.

Right. Yeah, I have seen several memorials like that around. The state troopers said that they will pay for a memorial that cannot be destroyed, but that still doesn't ease the pain because those things were made and put there from the heart.

Her father said that her memories were thrown in the trash. That poor family.bawling

That is awful! I see those crosses erected along the highways alot.. Some have been there for years without anyone disturbing them.. Must just be in your part of the state, Beckie.

That is too sad.
A teenager in my town was killed, he hit a tree and people put crosses and flowers by the tree.
Recently there has been A LOT of contruction in that site, making the road wider. The tree was on the right side of the road... now the tree is in the middle... and looks like everyone has respected the flowers and poems put in the tree.

I just saw one yesterday on the hightway too and there is one by where my aunt lives. That was the first one I ever saw. It's been there for about 10 years! What part of PA do you live in Debbie?

We have a Judge around here who was drinking and driving. He hit a motorcycle with a hubband and wife on it. The wife was killed, and the judge got off scott- free! It makes me sick to think about it. Maybe that state trooper in your area knows more than he's letting on!![/i]

Maybe. I just saw another cross with a lady's name on it. Her and her family were in a car accident and she was killed years ago. My aunt knew her. Blue

What a terrible way to do things! Some people have no feelings.

I know. Some people have no heart or no remorse. Don't worry they will get theirs on their judgment day.
