My New Job!

At the end of July, I started a new job! I took some time off from working to be able to concentrate on college, and then I spent several months applying to a bunch of different jobs. In July, I finally had a job offer from a crafts store! It's been a little while since I've had a job, but so far I think this one is going well. I'm learning a lot, and most of the people are fun to work with. Plus, I get an employee discount in the store (though that is kind of dangerous because there is so much neat stuff to look at!) If I'm not here on the forum as often as I used to be (since I know I used to come on quite a bit) it is probably because I finally have a job again, even though it is just a part time job. I'll still check in here as often as I can, and I hope everyone here on the prairie is doing great!!

Work has kept me very busy the past few weeks! During one stretch I worked six days in a row, and before that the most I'd worked in a row was three days. But I got through it! I'm getting used to being at home less often and being at work more, plus working longer shifts. Tomorrow I am working 5 1/2 hours and Sunday I am working 7 hours. I haven't been coming on my computer as often lately, I think this is the first time I've used it in about a week. But I'll try to come on here more often to check in and see how my prairie friends are doing. I hope everyone else is having an enjoyable autumn! Leaves

Savannah you are right, working at a crafts store is becoming an exercise in self restraint for me! I keep seeing different things that I like, and do I need them? No. But do I pick them up anyways? Of course! But working there has brought out a bit more of my creative side, I've started to sew a Christmas present and I'm also starting to cross-stitch Christmas presents as well.
