Who are your favorite writers of the show?  Being and Adam and Mary fan I always loved Carole and Michael Raschella's scripts (except for the odd thing or two, which I sometimes think were maybe driven by the influence of the production team and/or Michael Landon).  They wrote "I'll Be Waving As You Drive Away" and most of Adam and Mary's stories. Also Juanita Bartlett ("Country Girls" is just so sweet), B.W. Sandefur ("Four Eyes"), and Arthur Heinemann ("The Wedding").

Vince Gutierrez hands down was one of my absolute favorites. Party because he wrote two stories that are in my top five. Family Tree and Look Back To Yesterday. Don Balluck was another favorite (Men Will Be Boys).

I am in full agreement with you on Carol and Michael Rachella. They wrote some excellent episodes.

"Albert, do you REALLY think you are old enough to know what love is?"
"I must be Pa. I love you, I have for a long time."
