Take Note Troupe performs in Auburn, Loomis, Rocklin, Roseville, and Lincoln and is made up of committed enthusiasts striving to change the world through uplifting productions, such as play theory workshops and adaptations of Shakespeare. Over the years TNT has mentored hundreds of youth and served thousands more in the community. TNT strengthens society by providing young people a safe environment to develop valuable life skills and an opportunity to serve through theatrical performance.

Take Note Troupe (TNT) is a non-profit theater company focused on service in the community. TNT’s emphasis on the development of life skills, that translate into award winning performances on stage, make it a theatre program everyone can feel great about. We believe in producing family friendly, fun, uplifting shows that engage, educate, encourage and entertain. Our mission is to strengthen our society one performance and workshop at a time.
The play is a smattering of moments from a time gone by, revealing a picture of life as it was and reminding us that ‘here and now’ is not the here and always. It is our pleasure to recreate some of the scenes from Laura’s life that are reminiscent of home and hearth. Artistic director and playwright, LaRee Florence, believes that the connection to something larger than us appeals to so many. All long for a cozy fire and intimate affection shared by family. All of us have a stake in the stories of the past as we are all products of our ancestors. One of LaRee’s favorite lines from the play is “Everyone’s story is interesting if it is shaped and shown in the right way.” It is LaRee’s hope that The Melodies and Memories of Laura Ingalls Wilder will increase interest in the myriads of stories that permeate our lives. May all our stories be valued by the important participants in our lives. Laura’s collection of recollections reminds us of our heritages, whether it is recorded or not. Audiences young and old love this production. “The true way to live is to enjoy every moment as it passes and surely it is in the everyday things around us that the beauty of life lies.” – Laura Ingalls Wilder.
