Cubs win!

The Chicago Cubs beat the Cleveland Indians 8-7 in ten innings last night to become the world champs.  It's their first World Series win since 1908!  Here are some fun facts:

- The last time the Cubs were champs, women couldn't vote.
- Since their last win, Halley's Comet has come back... twice.
- The Cubs last championship is closer in time to the Louisiana Purchase (1803) than to the present day.

And here's something pretty cool.  A California high school senior had this as his yearbook quote... in 1993:

Interesting! And I am glad the Cubs won. I was rooting for them!

So happy that the Cubs won the World Series.

I had to go to bed right after the Indians tied it 6 to 6. I would have stayed up to hear the end but I had to work early today.
