| It is, but there are a couple of episodes with very dark themes. I'm thinking of "Sylvia" and "May We Make Them Proud." Children might be disturbed by certain scenes in those. | |

| Sylvia is one that is not suitable for children. My Ellen and Rage would also be scary for children to watch. I don't watch Sylvia that much. Gives me the creeps. | |

| Like Sylvia where a girl gets raped/sexually assaulted, I don't think I like Be My Friend because of an abusive religious father and that Charles threatened to give Laura a whipping for walking along the creek and searching for notes in bottles all day and making him upset. I thought he would never hit her.
I wouldn't like The Cheaters due to Jonathan Garvey taking his son Andrew for a whipping because he cheated in an exam. Well, at least the ending was funny where Harriet Olesen found out that her daughter Nellie was the one who cheated and that she chased her out of the schoolhouse while the other kids followed them and Alice Garvey laughed.
And I certainly wouldn't like May We Make Them Proud because of Alice Garvey and Adam. Jr being burned to death.
How very serious/extreme. And how morally family/child-friendly and controversial, I think.
No wonder some episodes are rated-PG and one of them (Sylvia) is rated-12 while the rest is rated-U. | |
