Actor Gavan O'Herlihy has passed away at the age of 70. Alert TV viewers may remember him as Chuck, the big brother of Richie and Joanie Cunningham on Happy Days. Never an integral member of the show, Chuck disappeared after a couple of seasons, giving rise to the term "Chuck Cunningham Syndrome," when a character is written out of a show without explanation.
