While all of the actors on LHOP are/were GREAT, in your honest opinion, who do you think was the most believable at...

Crying
Acting Scared
Screaming

Here's what I think:

Crying: Melissa Gilbert, BY FAR!
Acting Scared: Hmm...MSA, probably...
Screaming: Nellie was pretty believable!

Laughing: Michael Landon!!

(NOTE: This was not made to offend/point out any cast member. They were all great! I just think that these were the most believable. )

Crying: Hmmm...The show had a lot of crying going around, so it's hard to choice just one of the actors. But I think that the most beliavable crying actors was...Michael Landon. All her crying scenes are great. Melissa Gilbert is wonderful in them too. bawling

Looking scared:Yes. Melissa Sue Anderson, by far. affraid

Screaming: I think that here I must agree too: Alison Arngrim.

And I shoud add another category:

Laughing: Michael Landon was excellent in this category too, but Katherine MacGregor and Victor French were wonderful in it too.

Yeah, Michael Landon had a great laugh! When I was watching the TVland Awards, I was actually hoping he would win for best laugh! (Hey, Lucy won and she's passed on!)

Michael Landon and Melissa Sue Anderson I thought were always good criers.
Acting scared:..hmm..I guess MSA as most have said. I'm trying to remember some episodes ....

Laughing: definitely ML and VF..they had an infectious laughter.

Yeah, ML and VF sure could laugh! I'm thinking particularly about the ending of "To Live With Fear", when Mr. Edwards breaks through the collapsed tunnel.

At crying I would have to say Melissa Gilbert and at being scared Melissa Sue Anderson I'm not sure on Screaming though.

I think there is three people who could surely laugh in LHOTP (and all of them had an infectious laugh, indeed): Mr. Edwards, Charles Ingalls and Nels Oleson! ROTFL

The Best Evil Eye goes to Nellie. She had a way of looking so sinister - you could see the wheels turning as to what she could do next while at the same time she was smiling falsely at her next victim.

Not sure how I missed this post, but I will throw in my 2 cents!

Crying: Michael Landon, Matthew Laborteaux and Melissa Gilbert (can't pick just one out of the 3 of them; I thought they were all wonderful!)

Acting Scared: MSA. Her character was in some pretty frightening roles and I thought she was very believable.

Screaming: Nellie, or Nancy, LOL.

Laughing: Michael Landon had a wonderful laugh, as did Victor French. I can't wait them laughing and not laugh myself!

Acting Scared: Mary (She did great when she lost her sight and also when she and Laura were held captive in the school for the blind.)

Screaming: Nellie

Laughing: Charles & Mr. Edwards

Angry: Charles (It took a lot to push him into it, but he didn't hold back too much. Remember when he found the guy who shot James? What about when those brothers stopped Caroline on the way into town?)
