Little Boys and Girls

What make some parents have all boys and some have all girls? There is an old wife's tale saying that parents are meat-eaters, they would most likely to have boys, if parents are veggie-eaters, they would have girls. To me, that's just a percentage calculation. Although, my Mom has a friend who wanted a girl so bad that after 6 boys, she finally gave up. I on the other hand always wanted 2 kids of the same gender, I think they can grow up relating to each other closer and better. But, no matter what, kids are the most precious little darlings. Before we know it, they'll be as tall as us and they'll be picking out nursing homes for us.

I have 4 boys. I wanted a girl so bad.... But 4 kids is plenty for us. The same sex runs on both sides of Jim's and my family.

On my side. My dad has all brothers. His dad all brothers. My uncle has 2 girls. My brother 2 girls. My cousin 4 girls.

Jims side. His mother has 3 sisters. A cousin has 3 boys. A Aunt has 2 boys another Aunt has 3 girls. Another uncle with 2 girls. Jims father has 4 brothers.

My Dad is the youngest of 3, an older brother and an older sister. They all passed away, my Dad was the last to go.

My Mom came from a family of 2 brothers and 5 sisters. She's the 5th one. Her two older brothers passed on.

All my cousins have one of each.

My Parents Got 4 Boys and 3 Girls But after my Brothers Got Married and my Sister had a Little Girl there are more Woman Folk in our Family and then Men Folk lol my Moms Parents had 12 Children 8 Girls and 4 Boys and my Dads Parents had 11 Children 7 Boys and 4 Girls.

I have a son and a daughter, and I have just one brother.

Just from my personal experience, I don't think gender matters so much as far as being close and all. As many siblings do, I fought with my brother a lot when we were kids, and my kids fight often with eachother; but when it really counts there is a closeness there and as my brother and I always looked out for eachother, I see my kids doing the same. It was nice to always have a playmate, whether boy or girl. As well as someone to talk to, who understands just how unfair your parents are (haha), when growing up. But that is just my experience and I know each family and experience is different.

My cousin is a vegetarian and she has a boy.
In my brother-in-law's family there is only one granddaughter. The rest are all boys. I guess it's all in how God wants it.

I am the oldest of 4. 3 are girls and 1 boy. When I was pregnant with both of my boys, according to the wives tales I should of had girls LOL.
