| I'm currently reading this book by Nicholas Sparks. I remember it was made into a movie a few years back, but I never saw it. I'm reading the book now and it's interesting, but I think, like most of Nicholas Sparks' books, they're wonderfully romantic and tend to get a little weepy in places. I think he's a fantastic writer though - very descriptive. I loved "The Notebook" and "A Walk to Remember", even though they made me cry my heart out LOL, and I'm about halfway through this book. My question is: has anyone seen the movie? I'm thinking of renting it after I finish the book. Also, I'm wondering how much it will differ from the book itself, since both "The Notebook" and "A Walk to Remember" differed a lot. [/color] |

| I just watched "Message in a Bottle." I did not like the ending. Who has seen this movie?? I don't want to give away the ending, but it should have ended better. |

| Yep, I've seen it Gin. Not a great ending....I didn't care for the movie at all actually. A great Nicholas Sparks based movie is "The Notebook". You'll cry your eyes out, but it was a beautiful movie, with great acting and a wonderful plot. |

| Well, I jumped to Fireproof last night. YOU need to see this. Its so good. The special features were as good as the movie. Kirk Cameron is such a special man to make the choices he has made and touched so many lives . I really want Clay to see it too.... I think every couple should watch it, because we all have things we need to work on within our marriages. I couldn't help but wish my parents could have had this tool when things were so bad for them--30 yrs ago. The LOVE DARE is certainly something to consider if you need a guide to get back on track.
Fife...I've been up 100hrs today...don't you dare pull that pistol on me tonight! LOL |

| Oh, good to know. I have heard good things about the movie, and the book, from others. I'll definitely check it out. And yeah, I've heard that whether your marriage is good or not, (and Bill and I are good ), that this is the kind of movie that couples should watch together. It reminds me of "Marriage Encounter" in the Catholic church...people don't go to it necessarily because they're 'in trouble', rather it's a great reinforcer and strengthener within the marriage, no matter how 'stable' you think you are. |
