This episode is too similiar to what happend in the Final Farewell.

I agree 100%. It's sort of a letdown, to see them on the verge of losing their town now but managing to keep it, then when The Last Farewell happens, they really do lose their town. I like the "coming-together-and-standing-as-one" thing that happens, but it's sort of pointless if the same thing is going to happen half a season later. And lastly, John Carter is no Charles Ingalls!

I understand your pain, Amy. My concern is that it will be a lot of work to write out an entire family. That means every episode they appeared in would be affected. I talked a bit about this in the Times Are Changing thread. Would the Carters be more acceptable to people if they did not move into the little house on Plum Creek? That seems to be what really sticks it to LHOP fans. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I thought this was one of the better episodes of season 9, but it is very similar to "The Last Farewell". I'd keep it, but I don't feel strongly about it.

I think the part when they tries to open a saloon in Walnut Grove is very hilarious (did you remember Reverend's Alden face in this moment? grinsmiley

). If we toss this one, we must think in adding "te saloon thing" in some other episode... :think:
