I don't know why. I have had yahoo accounts and could always close those. Even when I had a hotmail years ago I could close it.

Must be a reason why you can't. But I would not know why that would be.

I just robbed this thread to let you know I received a scam email at one of my Hotmail accounts that said due to their servers being overloaded hotmail would be shutting off inactive accounts. It went on to say that I needed to verify my log-in information, date of birth, and country of origin.

This scam has been going on in some form since 1999 according to Snopes, so don't fall for it.

Good grief, one of these days I hope these people get a life. mad

I stick with Yahoo. Some Indian guy is supposed to send me $1,000,000 USD cuz I had some family member die in Uganda.

Don't worry. I'll share.

And all you had to do was cough up all your personal information and submit $49.95 to some address you never heard of before, right? Laughing

You two had a family member die in Uganda TOO??

Man, I think I'll tell the rest of the clan to stay the heck out of there.

Unless they have a million dollars.
